I already did everything that interested me.
I met Isabel and I went to a lesson at the university, I must say very very well attended.
I don't know if it happens to everyone, but to us, sensitive souls, it happens to be in situations where we seem to fall in love every 30 seconds.
The Otago University is one of these places, and good for Andreas that will make us a doctorate.
On the other hand, the fact that a lot of penguins live a few miles from here suggests that the climate is not exactly my favorite.
In the Otago Peninsula live, in fact, penguins, seals, dolphins and a variety of birds including a rare species of magnificent Albatros. Sometimes a whale appears. With a guided tour I could finally see some of these cute animals.
I arrived in Dunedin in two days of hitchhiking, quite lucky because in Papatoway inexplicably pass a car every 20 minutes, but with a lot of small movements finally I did it.
In the Northland I'll rent a car and I'll sleep inside in order to recoup the costs.
Papatoway and the Catlins are inexplicably deserted because its are really wonderful places, wild but gentle, undulating profile, long beaches, cliffs, hills, forests. Cold aside, perhaps my favorite part of all New Zealand.
The lesson at the university has made me desire to go back to study. I am no longer interested in passing exams but to learn, understand and apply. The lesson I attended was of environmental engineering and Isabel, for example, told me that in Argentina there is a lot of demand for this type of degree. But in my mind what is fascinating is working to transform the earth into a better place, rather than to make a company that lends money more and more rich.
The world is full of opportunity. But even if all have internet now, most of the information very interesting escape, probably because we always look the same things and there is no meeting and sharing.

Ho incontrato Isabel e sono stato a una lezione all’università, devo dire molto molto ben frequentata.
Non so se capita a tutti, ma a noi anime sensibili capita di trovarsi in situazioni in cui ci pare di innamorarci ogni 30 secondi.
L’Otago University è uno di questi posti, e buon per Andreas che verrà a farci il dottorato.
D’altra parte, il fatto che una quantità di pinguini viva a pochi km da qui suggerisce che il clima non sia esattamente il mio favorito.
Nella penisola di Otago vivono, appunto, pinguini, foche, delfini e una quantità di uccelli tra cui una rara specie di magnifici Albatros. Ogni tanto fa una capatina qualche balena. Con un visita guidata sono riuscito finalmente a vedere qualcuno di questi simpatici animali.
Sono arrivato a Dunedin in 2 giorni di autostop, piuttosto fortunato perché a Papatoway inspiegabilmente passa un’auto ogni 20 minuti, ma a forza di piccoli spostamenti finalmente ce l’ho fatta.
Nel Northland noleggerò una macchina e ci dormirò dentro per ammortizzare i costi. Inspiegabilmente deserta Papatoway e i Catlins, perché sono posti davvero meravigliosi, selvaggi ma con profili dolci e ondulati, lunghe spiagge, scogliere, colline, boschi. Freddo a parte, forse la mia zona preferita di tutta la Nuova Zelanda.
La lezione all’università mi ha fatto tornare voglia di studiare. Non sono più interessato a superare gli esami ma ad imparare, a capire e a mettere in pratica. La lezione a cui ho assistito era di ingegneria ambientale e Isabel, per esempio, mi ha detto che in Argentina c’è un sacco di richiesta di questo tipo di laurea. Ma nella mia mente quello che è affascinante è lavorare per trasformare la terra in un posto migliore, piuttosto che rendere un’azienda che presta denaro sempre più ricca.
Il mondo è pieno di opportunità. Ma anche se adesso tutti hanno internet, la maggior parte delle informazioni veramente interessanti sfuggono, probabilmente perché si cerca sempre le stesse cose e non si incontra la gente, non ci si parla, non si condivide.
